Khartoum, November 12(Darfur24) Darfur24 has learned that security forces have arrested Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Rizkallah, known as Safina, in the Sudanese capital, for reasons that are still unknown.
Al-Safna spent 4 years in captivity, as he was arrested in confrontations between his forces and the Rapid Support Forces in the Musariha area in 2017, and was released in December 2021.
In June 2022, the Savannah, among 7 Darfurian armed factions, signed a new alliance in the state of Niger under French auspices, known as the Democratic Path.
A member of the Al-Safna family told Darfur 24 that a security force had stopped leader’s car in the city of Khartoum, and took him to an unknown destination.
