El-Daein, November 29(Darfur24)Clashes  between host community and refugees   from South Sudan resulted in the death of a Sudanese and the injury of six others, two of whom were in serious condition, in the Krio refugee camp in Bahr al-Arab locality in East Darfur state on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

 

The executive director of Bahr al-Arab locality, Mahmoud Jaber, told Darfur24 that the local government has sent police forces to enforce security, restore calm to the camp, and arrest those involved in the clashes, after the state of tension continued until today between the refugees and the host community.

 

Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, the protection official at the Sudanese Refugee Commission, told Darfur 24 that the authorities did not arrest those accused of involvement in the incident  because large numbers of people had gathered inside and around the refugee camp.
