Nyala, 19 July (Darfur24) The International organization for migration IOM has announced that 200 thousands people have recently been displaced in Sudan, bringing total number of internally displaced persons IDPs to over two million.

The conflict in Sudan between the Sudanese army and paramilitary rapid support forces ( RSF) erupted mid-April after commander in chief of the Sudanese army and RSF commander disagreed over formulas of integrating the powerful paramilitary rapid support forces RSF into the Sudanese army.

Addressing the UN security council last week, prosecutor of the international criminal court ICC, Karim Ahmed Khan announced that his office would investigate war crimes and crimes against humanity in West Darfur state.

Human rights watch HRW had earlier revealed that 87 ethic Massalit were killed by RSF in West Darfur and buried in a mass grave .

 

Over one thousand people have been killed, nearly three thousands others injured, two millions internally displaced and more than two hundred thousands fled to neighboring countries (Egypt, Chad, Ethiopia, Eritrea, central African Republic) since the war between the two generals started..
