Efforts continued to resume work at the Operations and Obstetrics Complex at Nyala Teaching Hospital on Monday, after it had been out of service since October 5, 2023.
The initiatives resulted in the removal of unexploded ordnance from the teaching hospital, which had been subjected to vandalism and destruction in some of its structure, and the looting of medicines and some medical and surgical equipment, in addition to the cleanliness of the hospital in its various departments and it became ready to receive patients in accordance with the gradual operational plan drawn up by the hospital administration.
The head of the preparation department at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Complex, Moaza Abkar, and the head of anesthesia, Sabah Makki, said that the department has become ready to receive patients in terms of natural births, operations, and clinical hospitalization, and that the department needs to fill the shortcomings in medicines, anesthesia drugs, and some devices that will enable it to continue.
