Khartoum, Feb 2 ( Darfur 24) The United Nations Child Welfare Organization, UNICEF, said 65% of the Sudanese lack health care, amid increasing diseases and high levels of hunger.

The war between the army and the rapid support forces entered into a critical stage, after the latter took control of the state of Al -Jazeera, amid fears of the conflict in light of the mockery that is currently taking place.

UNICEF warned, in a statement obtained by “Darfur 24”, of the impact of conflict and restrictions on food production and the availability of food in the coming months.

She pointed out that there are 14 million Sudanese children at risk and in urgent need of life -saving humanitarian support, as the conflict forced more than 3.5 million children to flee from their homes, out of a total of 7.6 million people who escaped from widespread violence.

UNICEF called on the international community to provide support to reopen schools so that 19 million Sudanese children can return to the classroom, additional to finance life -saving services in the fields of health, nutrition, water, protection and sanitation.

United Nations organizations complain of a lack of financing their humanitarian activities, as UNICEF has received 28% financing for its response plan in the previous year while this year seeks to attract $ 840 million to sustain and expand its services.
