Unidentified persons launched two drones in the city of Gedaref, eastern Sudan. The first struck the headquarters of the General Intelligence Service, while the second targeted the distance between the headquarters of the agency and the judicial authority, near the Passports Department.

The security committee in Gedaref state decided to close the markets in the city, while the army, security forces and police intensified deployment in the city.

Activists spoke of a third drone targeting the Al-Faw military area, without any casualties among the soldiers.

The former editor-in-chief of the Armed Forces newspaper, Colonel Ibrahim Al-Houri, commented on the drones that targeted the city of Gedaref, saying: “What happened in Gedaref and what will happen in other cities is expected, because they are present in many locations, but without effect,” in reference to the Rapid Support Forces.

The security forces began a search campaign in the homes of Al-Gadarif, where activist Jaafar Khader said, “A security agency and mobilized personnel searched his house located in the Dem Al-Nour neighborhood in the city of Al-Gadarif, against the backdrop of the marches.”

Khader called on citizens to respond to the homes that the security forces want to search and to report any suspicious behavior by the Rapid Support Forces.
