February 22, 2020 (Aldaein) Six civilians were killed in crossfire between Sudanese Armed Forces SAF and Rapid Support Forces RSF   in the town of  Kafi Konja, on the Sudan- Central African Republic border.

According to eyewitnesses ,the area’s market was completely burned  as a result of the shooting, exposing traders to billions of pounds worth of loss.

Al-Bishari Jiqar, a resident of the village, told Darfur 24 that a dispute had occurred  between four people from RSF in civilian clothes and soldiers from the garrison,  over  a banned turban that RSF elements wearing .

“The shooting left six civilians dead and burned the area’s market” added Al-Bishari Jiqir.

Jiqar pointed out that  the situation had returned to calm, following the intervention of Rapid Support Forces who had come from  Radom area..
