February 23, 2020 (Khartoum) A Court in Omdurman, Sudan rejected Sunday a request  by the  suspects’  lawyer in  the trial of 6  Rapid Support Forces RSF affiliates to return the case  papers to public prosecution for further investigation.

Six members of the Rapid Support Forces are accused of killing lieutenant, Issam Mohamed Nour, after physically assaulting him inside his house in Umbadah neighborhood of   Omdurman city  in Khartoum State.

According to preliminary details, Lieutenant Issam was a station commander  at  Umbada Police Department, so a  group of RSF came to the station and requested his to release their colleagues who was in police custody.

However, the station commander turned down their request, so they  quarreled with  Issam and the quarrel  developed into fighting and he managed to resist them and return to his family’s  home.

In a related development, the next day,  a group of  gunmen attacked the family  house at night and shot Indiscriminately at them, killing  the lieutenant and the serious injury of his brother and his  mother, and then fled  to unknown destination , but the police managed to arrest the culprit  and bring them to trial.
