March 30, 2020 (khartoum ) The Minister of Public Education, Professor Mohamad Al-Amin Al-Tom, announced  Monday,  the postponement of the Sudanese certification exams until a later date.

“The decsion to suspend exams was taken due to  health precautionary measures  to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic” said Professor Mohamad Al-Amin Al-Tom.

Minister, Tom, affirmed  that the new date for exams will be communicated to the public , after disapearance of  Coronavirus, in order to preserve  students’s lives .

The Ministry of Public Education had  earlier set the twelfth of next April, as  a date for conducting the exams.

For his part, the Director of the General Department of Emergency and Epidemic Control of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Babiker Al-Maqboul, extended a deep apology to the families of the students, stressing at the same time that the current situation is not suitable for exams.
