April 24, 2020 – Darfur 24 has obtained information from private
sources that, the Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Hemeti has paid a visit to Sheikh Musa Hilal, leader of the Mahameed clan ,who is on house arrest in
Khartoum.
It’s worth mentioning that the Deputy chairman of the Sovereign Council’s visit to Musa Hilal,comes after the latter was transferred to one of the apartments belonging to the Rapid Support Forces( RSFIin
Khartoum, as a result of the recommendations and outcome of the conference of Rizeigat elders in Zalingei last Saturday.
According to the sources, the meeting that took place between the two men who descend from the same tribe, was marred by spirit of tolerance and agreement on many points of difference.
However, the sources stated that this step was preceded by meetings of a number of native adminstration leaders from the Rizeigat tribe and rapid support forces commanders with Musa Hilal that paved the
way for positive developments that might lead to Hilal’s release.
