April 24, 2020 (khartoum) Leader of  Mahamid clan in Darfur, Musa Hilal, is facing  a mysterious fate after nearly three years of detention in military intelligence prisons in the capital, Khartoum, following failure of  a reconciliation conference between Mahamid and Maharia clans.

However, over the past hours, news have  leaked about the upcoming release of Hilal and his group who were arrested with him, but his family denied during a press release any knowledge of his release.

The statement blamed the transitional government for the  safety of Hilal and his group, saying that the family would continue to demand the  unconditional and   legitimate release of the  detainees.

Sources had earlier told  Darfur 24, saying that Hilal and the detainees were transferred from the military prison to house arrest in the   suburb of Khartoum, under heavy guard.

The transfer of  Hilal and his companions, from the military prison to   house arrest comes  in response to the recommendations of  inter-communal  reconcilation conference of leaders of  Rizeigat tribe, which was recently held in Zalingei, Central Darfur
