October 14, 2020 (ElGeneina)The city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, will host Thursday the first coordination conference for the governors of the five Darfur states.
Governor of North Darfur, Mخhamed Hassan Arabi, said on his Facebook page that the meeting will be attended along with the five governors , the directors of infrastructure and the police.
Arabi stated that the meeting will discuss security coordination, infrastructure, water and electricity services, communications and the Internet, the region’s students in universities and the future situation in the region after the departure of the UNAMID mission.
MeanWhile the Secretary of the Government of South Darfur, Hamid Hanoun, said that the conference is still an idea that has not been confirmed yet, and stated that the governor of the state, Musa Mahdi,
will return today from Khartoum and announce the date of the conference.
