April 26, 2020 (Khartoum) The Sudanese Congress Party (SCP) has called on the transitional authority to take urgent steps to activate the “executive performance” of the government, even if the matter necessitates ministerial change.
However, SCP urged leaders of the east African country to carry out a wide range of reforms to bring back economic situation to normal. The party leadership, stressed the necessity for the “government of the revolution” to take a package of steps to reform the economic situation in the country, including a radical reform of the security services, demanding as the same time the transitional government to eradicate corruption and the recover looted resources, alongside reforming civil service to ensure its professionalism and high efficiency. The Sudanese congress party revealed in a statement seen by Darfur 24 that intensive contacts is being made with the Revolutionary Front to restore the unity of the “coalition” and accelerate the signing of the peace agreement. The Party led by Omar Al-Dugair called on the government to accelerate the peace process with the Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahed to reach a final agreement.
