May 10, 2020(Khartoum) The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning,
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badawi, revealed that “Friends of Sudan” in the
European Union would provide 460 million Euros as financial support to
Sudan.
In a tweet on Saturday, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badawi said” We thank you, the
friends of Sudan in the European Union, for your continuous support to
the Sudanese people, this time around you have provided a package of
460 million Euros”.
Al-Badawi said that this support was an encouragement for the ongoing
reforms and the ambitious program presented by the Sudanese revolution
government to help the Sudanese economy.
And he went on, saying, ” we are moving forward”
It’s worth noting, that the” Friends of Sudan” announced, last
Thursday, their willingness to provide additional financial support to
the Sudanese transitional government, during the donors’ conference in
June.
The seventh “Friends of Sudan” meeting was held in the French capital,
Paris, through video conferencing, and was opened by French Minister
of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, affirming his
commitment to the continued support of Sudan’s partners to the
transitional government and the achievement of its goals.
