July 13, 2020 (Khartoum) Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk is currently continuing his consultations with the various political and social forces regarding the completion of the State governors’
appointment process.
The Minister of Culture and Information, spokesperson for the Sudanese Transitional Government, Faisal Mohamed Salih, has announced that the selection of governors is decided in 13 states, and consultations are underway to resolve the matter in the remaining five states.
In a press statement on Sunday , Mohamed salih said that meetings and consultations were continuing with all parties to resolve the issue of governors’ appointment.
Faisal pointed out that the selection of some female governors, faces severe difficulties and resistance from some states and political forces, but the Prime Minister is keen not to impose the
center’s desire on the states
