December 3, 2020 (El-Geneina) An attack by Chadian gunmen on a village inside Sudanese territory Thursday, left one person dead and 3 others injured, including a woman and a ten-year-old child.

Two days ago, the border strip between Sudan and Chad has been witnessing security tensions after two Sudanese shepherds were killed and others were wounded by Chadian gunmen while they were tracking stolen camels.

Mayor Abdullah Adam Abdullah of Sirba village , told Darfur 24 that Chadian gunmen on motorcycles and horses had attacked in the early hours of Thursday morning, Goz Maraya village, 80 kilometers north of Al-Geneina.

The community leader stated that the attack resulted in the death of one young man and the wounding of 3 others, including a woman and a ten-year-old child, and the wounded were treated at the fetus hospital.

Darfur24 correspondent from El Geneina reported that the incidents that had been taking place in the border areas in the past two days had turned into a tribal conflict between the Chadian Zaghawa and the nomadic Sudanese Arabs.
