July 15, 2020 -The government of North Darfur has announced the transfer of the basic school exams’ center from Fataburno area to, Kutum locality.

The decision to move the  exams’ center  to Kutum , was taken at the backdrop of the attack on Fataburno area on Monday,  in which 9 people were killed and more than 11 others were seriously injured.

However, basic school exams kicked off on  Wednesday, in all parts of the state, where 369,933 pupils, distributed in 178 centers in various localities of the State are sitting for the exams this year.

The director general of the ministry of education, Idris Abdullah, said in statements that his ministry had decided to transfer the examination center of the Fataburno area to Kutum, adding  that the exams   went well without any problems on the first day.

Abdullah, expressed his hope that the results of the exams for  this year will be better than the previous one,  pointing out that precautionary measures had been  taken by the Ministry to curb spread
of Coronavirus among the students.
