July 21, 2020 (El-geneina) The tribal clashes that occurred in Al-Geneina city on Sunday evening, have forced citizens of three residential neighborhoods to leave their homes and seek shelter in
schools and government institution.
Rumors are being circulated among El-Geneina residents of an imminent possible attack by families of some of the victims on three
neighborhoods.
Four people were killed in ElGenena on Monday by unknown gumen, raising total number of death to ten since latest upsurge of tribal fighting between Arabs and Masalit erupted on Sunday. It is expected that the funeral will take place this morning in the presence of the state’s governor..
Meanwhile, state government has deployed troops in the city to maintain law and order.
