August 15, 2020 (Juba) Head of government delegation to the negotiations on security arrangements, Minister of Defense, Major General Yassin Ibrahim Yassin, underscored Khartoum’s readiness to
complete the security file, considering it the basis for the just and comprehensive peace in Sudan.
However, a presidential delegation led by the Vice President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, will arrive next Monday in Juba, to complete the security arrangements file in preparation for the signing of the peace agreement
.
On Friday, President of the Republic of South Sudan, met at the Presidential Palace in Juba, the government delegation, in the presence of the Southern Mediation Team headed by Mr. Tut Qalwak,
Advisor to President Salva Kiir for Security Affairs.
Speaking to reporters in Juba, Major General Yassin informed journalists, that he had conveyed greetings, thanks and appreciation of the Transitional government to President Salva Kiir Mayardit, for
his great role and efforts in sponsoring the Sudanese peace negotiations.
For his part, member of Southern Mediation Committee, Dr. Mutouk, said that the government delegation and the mediation team had presented a joint enlightenment to Salva Kiir, on the negotiations of
the security arrangements file, affirming the mediation intention to complete the file within the next few days in preparation for the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement
