August 20, 2020 (Khartoum) Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign
Council , Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, begins today,
Thursday, an official visit to Chad, which will last for one day,
during which he will hold joint talks with Chadian President Idriss
Deby.

Al-Burhan will arrive in the Chadian capital  at the head of a
high-level delegation, on his second visit to the neighboring country.

However, Al-Burhan   had previously visited N’djamena in June of last
year, following assumption of his  duties as head of Sudan ‘s
Transitional Sovereign Council.

Chad shares long border with Sudan with Sudan`s lawless Darfur region,
where some 200,000 people have died during the conflict and the border
areas have a similar ethnic make-up.
The conflict in Darfur has spilled over the border, forcing some
120,000 Chadians to join the more than 200,000 Sudanese refugees in
camps.
