November 6, 2020 (Khartoum) On Thursday, the Sudanese Ministry of Health revealed that more than a million cases of malaria had been recorded throughout the country until last September.

According to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, OcHA, that a report of the Ministry of Health revealed more than 1.1 million cases of malaria throughout Sudan, until the end of September 2020, and added that the infection rate reached epidemic levels in 15 out of 18 states.

According to malaria case records from the Federal Ministry of Health , the number of malaria cases tends to increase with the onset of the rainy and flood season, and peaks in the latter part of the flood season (August – September).
