November 10, 2020 (Nyala) The Deputy Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Abdullah Harran Adam, arrived in the city of Juba, the capital of the State of South Sudan,   responding to an invitation by the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit.

However, the invitation aimed at discussing the best way to achieve a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Sudan, and to listen to the movement’s vision of achieving peace in Sudan.

The movement’s spokesman, Mohamad al-Nayir, told Darfur 24 that this visit had nothing to do with negotiating with the Khartoum government or the Juba platform, adding that the movement’s position was clear from the very  beginning.

The Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel Wahid Mohamed Nour had  refused to enter the negotiations sponsored by the state of South Sudan between the Sudanese transitional government and the armed struggle movements that resulted in an agreement on the third of October between the government and SRF.

Al-Nayr stated that the movement would provide a full explanation to President Salva Kiir about its vision to achieve peace in Sudan
