A Sudanese army soldier reportedly raped a 9- year-old girl, in the area of Dirbat , east of Jabel Mara.
Head of unit of violence against women in South Darfur, Salma said the minor was subjected to rape in the area of Dirbat by a soldier affiliated with the Sudanese armed forces..
“The 40-year-old perpetrator has been arrested by his army unit so as be handed over to the family and child protection unit ” Salma added ..
Salma told Darfur24 that the victim was transferred to Nyala to receive medical and psychological treatment.
It’s worth noting that the incident occurred on Thursday, January 7,2021
