Darfur 24-Nyala

Stones were thrown at the motorcade  of the Federal Minister of Social Development, Mohamed Adam Bakhit, while passing through Kalma camp for displaced people, 17 km east of Nyala the capital of South Darfur state.

However, two people were wounded and windows of the four cars that were carrying the delegation were smashed.

A member of the minister’s companions said that after a meeting with the health insurance department in Nyala the delegation went directly to Kalma camp IDP camp  to inspect  Kalma health center which is  run by the state’s National Health Insurance Fund, despite the fact that the camp visit was not part of the minister’s  visit  to the state .

The displaced persons of Kalma camp reject the Juba Peace Agreement, which brought  Mohamad Adam Bakhit as Minister of Social Development.
