The proposed political declaration paves the way for a new partnership between civilians and the military based on the agreement signed between Al-Burhan and Hamdok on November 21.
The declaration, which Darfur24 has seen an initial copy of, stipulates full compliance with the Juba Agreement, which means that the parties to the agreement will retain all their shares in the executive body.
A group of politicians and jurists were involved in drafting a political declaration paving the way to amend the constitutional document in the wake of the October 25 coup, which suspended some of its articles.
The declaration stipulated a review of the composition of the Sovereignty Council, which was formed by Al-Burhan after the coup.
However, the new agreement between the military and civilians also retained most of the provisions stipulated in the partnership between the military and civilians before the coup.
