7.12.2021(El-Geneina) Death toll of the tribal fighting that took place in the Krink area in West Darfur earlier this week has risen to more than 100 people.

A government source, who declined to be named, said that the tribal fighting that took place in Karenk last Sunday left more than 62 people dead

The source added, “There are more than 29 bodies that were found today, Tuesday, by joint security forces, in the areas west of Krink”.

There is widespread debate about the identity of these dead people, whether they belong to the Sudanese coalition led by the Governor of West Darfur, Khamis Abdullah, or other armed movements.

Speaking  to Darfur 24, the head of the Sudanese coalition in West Darfur state, Gedo Badawi, said that the Sudanese coalition had nothing to do with the force that participated in the incidents.

Leaders of the Arab tribes accuse the Sudanese coalition movement of attacking their villages.

It is expected that the issue of the participation of elements of the armed struggle in the tribal fighting between the Arab tribes and the Masalit will provoke widespread controversy.
