2021-12-28(Khartoum) On Monday, the Transitional Sovereignty Council called on the competent authorities to investigate what is being circulated in the media regarding a number of girls allegedly raped during December 19 procession.
Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council spokeswoman, Salma has directed the competent judicial authorities to investigate the allegations of rape cases that took place in the December 19 procession near the presidential palace.
She added that the council was briefed on a detailed report on the situation in the Darfur region by the council member, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, who was on a two-week visit to the region.
However, the Council approved that the meeting of the Joint Higher Council for Security Arrangements in Darfur states would be held soon.
