August 5, 2020 (El-Fashir) A displaced person aged 33, was killed and another one was seriously injured  on Tuesday, when three masked gunmen opened  fired on them near the Pholo area for gold exploration,
15 km north of Kutum, North Darfur.

A family member  of the deceased, Suleiman Abdullah Ali, told Darfur 24 by telephone that the dead person was a resident of Kassab camp for the displaced, east of Kutum city.

“The man was shot dead by camel herders   while he and his three friends were working at nearby gold mine” Suleiman Abdullah added.

Kutum locality has  witnessed several unfortunate incidents recently,the last of which 9 people were killed  and 14 others injured in the Fataburno administrative unit, beside burning the police headquarters and 14 government cars in the city of Kutum.
