30.12.2021(El-Fashir) North Darfur state police said Thursday, that they had arrested a number of suspects accused of looting the contents of the World Food Program WFP warehouses in El Fasher on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

 

The Sudan News Agency quoted the director of the Criminal Department of the state police, Brigadier General Saad Mustafa Ahmed, as saying that the suspects were arrested with large quantities of food and other things, loaded on pick-up trucks and donkey carts.

 

This week, the city of El Fasher witnessed a security breach that resulted in the storming of the former peacekeeping mission premises in Darfur, looting and sabotaging its assets, in addition to the attack on the warehouses of the World Food Program, looting and completely destroying them.
