Elfashir-Jan.13(Darfur24) The Deputy Governor of Darfur Region, Dr. Mohamed Issa Aliu, has resigned over UNAMID property looting by the very forces guarding the former mission’s headquarters.
Aliu told Darfur 24 ” I submitted my resignation to the governor of the region, Minni Arko Minawi during a meeting of the North Darfur State Security Committee”
The governor of North Darfur, Nimr Abdel Rahman, accused the Sudan Liberation Movement led by the governor of the region, Minawi, the forces of the Sudan Liberation Assembly led by Tahir Hajar, the Sudan Liberation Movement, the Transitional Council, led by member of the Sovereign Council, Hadi Idris, and the Sudanese Alliance Movement, led by the governor of West Darfur, of looting UNAMID vehicles.
