El-fashir, Feb. 1 (Darfur24) North Darfur government announced on Tuesday, the completion of all arrangements and preparations to receive the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and his accompanying delegation.
The high-level delegation, which includes the deputy chairman of the Sudan’s transitional sovereign council Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo will arrive in Elfashir on Wednesday.
According to the newspaper “Al-Sayha”, the periodic meeting of the Joint Higher Council for Security Arrangements will be held tomorrow in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state.
The state’s governor, General Nimr Muhammad Abdul Rahman, said in statements, that the meeting will discuss the position of implementing the security arrangements item “Darfur track” in accordance with the Juba peace Agreement, in addition to the security situation in Darfur and the recent unfortunate incident in the war-weary region.
“The meeting will also discuss the progress of forming a joint force with special tasks to achieve security and peace in Darfur” Nimir added
Nimir stated that his government, on the sidelines of the meeting, will arrange separate meetings with a number of officials in the country, including the Federal Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, the Minister of Urban Development, Roads and Bridges, Abdullah Yahya Ahmed, and a number of leaders to discuss what serves the state’s interest in various areas.
