Nyala, March 12 (Darfur24) A person traveling on the Nyala- El Fasher road was killed when the car he was traveling in was shot at by  government forces on Friday, in the Mosoko valley, 80 kilometers north of the capital of South Darfur State.

The director of the state police, Major General Mohamed Ahmed El-Zein, told Darfur 24 that a four-wheel drive vehicle without plates tried to bypass the forces stationed near the Mosoko Valley, and when the forces asked them to stop, the driver refused to obey, which prompted the forces to shoot the car, and stated that a person was killed by a bullet.

The police director confirmed that the force shot the car as directed by the state security committee, which prevents cars without plates without being checked at the entrances.

He added: Most of the problems come to us from the neighboring states, especially North Darfur, so we have put in place strict procedures for those entering  the state.
