El-Geneina, July 28(Darfur24) Darfur24 has learned that the government authorities in West Darfur have transferred more than 78 people involved in the tribal fighting to Port Sudan prison via military aircraft.
The joint government forces had arrested more than 177 people involved in the tribal fighting between Al-Tama and Al-Awra, north of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur State, with weapons and motorcycles in their possessions.
The governor of West Darfur, Khamis Abdullah, said in his speech to the detainees that “the planes are now waiting for you at the airport”, referring to their transfer to Port Sudan prison
