September 8(Daerfur24) The Sennar state government announced, on Thursday, an increase in the number of displaced IDPs fleeing the Blue Nile state, following renewed tribal violence early this week.
The bloody tribal clashes renewed in conjunction with the start of a government committee to return hundreds of families to their homes that they abandoned during the tribal clashes last month that left a large number of victims.
A statement issued by the region’s security committee stated that the incidents renewed in the Quneis area east of the city of Roseires, the Taiba Islamic Complex, without clear reasons.
The region’s security committee confirmed the killing of seven people and the wounding of about 23 others following renewed tribal violence.
For her part, the nurse Dar Al-Salaam Mustafa, director of reproductive health, confirmed the presence of (297) pregnant women who received care in all the camps of the state, pointing to the care of (35) cases of children in the camps, praising the interventions of the Ministry of Health in Sennar and its partners.
