El-Daein, September 11(Darfur24) Member of the medical team carried out by the British Salamat Organization in cooperation with the Association of the Sons of East Darfur in the Diaspora – Professor Othman Muhammad Al-Amas revealed a frightening spread of hepatitis and kidney failure among the residents of East Darfur.

 Al-Amas explained that the medical  team found cases of the disease among legal midwives, which means that the disease was transmitted to them while they were working to help pregnant women give birth, and added that they also noticed the spread of stones that cause kidney failure.

 Yesterday, Saturday, a free treatment camp was concluded in El Daein city, organized by the Association of the Sons of East Darfur in the Diaspora in cooperation with the British Salamat Organization. It lasted for nine days, with the participation of 55 cadres of health workers.

 He explained that the medical team restored the sense of hearing for 300 patients, and performed more than 200 cardiac catheterization operations, some of them for children.

 In his speech during El Daein University’s celebration  organized for  the visiting  medical team , Prof Al-Amas said that the convoy targeted East Darfur with the aim of providing a quality health service in vulnerable areas, in addition to training medical field colleagues, to create communication between the medical staff residing in the state while working in difficult conditions.
