Nyala, October 29(Darfur24) The Ministry of Health in South Darfur revealed  on Sunday  that 8 cases of Chikungunya fever have been recorded, in addition to one case of  dengue fever.

 The ministry said in a press circular, seen by Darfur24, that the eight cases were confirmed at the Public Health Laboratory in Khartoum, at the same time, it pointed to an increase in the incidence of malaria and unknown fevers in the state.

The Ministry stated that the General Administration of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control took “21” samples from hospitals and health centers in the state after the increase in cases of malaria and unknown fevers, and sent them to the “Stack” laboratory in Khartoum.

However, the result of the examination confirmed the number of 8 positive cases of Chikungunya fever and one case of Dengue fever.
