Five were killed and six more  seriously injured as splinter faction clashed with the forces of Sudan liberation movement led by Abel wahid Mohamed  Alnur SLM Alnur on Novermber1 .

 

Zalengie, November 2(Darfur24) The Sudan Liberation Movement, led by Abdel Wahed Nour, warned a week ago of possible confrontations between its forces and a rapid support force that moved from El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur.

In October 2020, a faction of the movement, led by the leader, Dhu al-Nun Abdul Shafee, defected from the Abdul Wahed Nour Movement. According to military sources, the Rapid Support Forces embraced the dissident faction and provided it with logistical support in its confrontations with the movement from which it defected in Jabal Marra.

 Eyewitnesses told Darfur24 that armed confrontations took place in the village of Selo, 2 km southwest of the Rokero area, east of Jebel Marra, leaving 8 dead and more than 6 wounded, some of whom were transferred to the Doctors Without Borders hospital in Rokero.

 

 Meanwhile, displaced people in Aboshok IDP camp in El Fasher city reported that they had buried the body of a soldier from the “Rokero” area of the Rapid Support Forces, on Tuesday evening, who was killed in the Slo battles.

 

While the official spokesman of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al-Nayer, described what is happening in Jebel Marra as skirmishes, and said: “There are daily skirmishes in these areas, but we are not sure of any details”.
