El-Geneina, November 14(Darfur24)The Sudanese coalition forces led by the Governor of West Darfur, Khamis Abkar, arrested the activist Dr. Tariq Sarkarno after beating him, against the background of his protesting against fees imposed on government institutions and shops to meet the costs of the governor’s visit to  Tandalti area, north of El-Geneina city.

Member of the Resistance Committees in the Tandalti ton, Dr. Tariq Sarkarno, published on social media  a committee for receiving the governor of West Darfur, the head of the Sudanese coalition, imposed fees on institutions to cover expenses  of the governor’s visit to the town.

 

Sarkou told Darfur 24 that a military force on board a Land Cruiser that was accompanying Wali Khamis on his visit to the Tandalti area kidnapped me from my workplace in the pharmacy, where I was handcuffed, blindfolded and threw me in the car under the soldiers’ shoes for more than an hour, while the soldiers were enjoying  the Wali’s reception activities.

 

He added: The movement’s elements asked the police to file   a complaint against me under Article 69, ( disturbs peace and public safety).

 

He stated that after his release from prison, he was taken to El Geneina Hospital, affected by the beatings and assault, and that he filed a criminal complaint against two leaders of the Sudanese coalition.
