Nyala, January 3(Darfur24) The deputy chairman of Sudan’s  Sovereignty Council, Commander of the Rapid Support Forces RSF, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, accused unnamed parties of planning to change the regime in the Central African Republic CAR, from within the Sudanese borders.

 

Dagalo’s remarks , confirmed  what Darfur 24 published last November about a large-scale recruitment  for militants in the border areas between Sudan and central African Republic.

 

 Hamidti explained that those parties  gathered forces from all tribes, in addition to former soldiers, and provided them with complete uniforms  resembling the one used by the  Rapid Support Forces and brought them into the Umm Dafouk area, and wanted to implement the plan, indicating that he had revealed this plot, and who was behind it.

 

 Addressing   celebration of the cessation of hostilities between the Rizeigat and Dajo in South Darfur , Dagalo  revealed the arrest of some of those involved in the scheme, and the closure of the borders with Central Africa Republic  to prevent sedition and maintain good neighborliness

 

. He added, “Rapid support Forces uniform is available in a company inside Sudan , so it was easy for them to obtain it.” He continued, “We do not have problems with any party.”

 

Last November, Darfur published news about the gathering of armed men along RCA border with  Sudan, however identical sources that spoke to Darfur 24 at the time, said  large numbers of armed men gathered in large areas in the localities of Um Dukhun and Abu Jaradil in the state of Central Darfur, off the Sudanese international border with the Central African Republic.

 

 One of the sources, NK Ali, told Darfur 24 that he knows specific people among these armed men, some of whom belong to the Tamazuj movement, which signed the Juba Agreement, and others who were former soldiers in the border guards integrated into the Rapid Support Forces, in addition to two demobilized members of the Rapid Support Forces and tribal militants.

 

 Government officials in the two localities did not confirm or deny the rumors spread in the region that the gunmen’s goal of gathering in the border areas is to support one of the parties to the renewed conflict in neighboring Central African Republic CAR.

 

However, the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, confirmed what was published by Darfur 24.
