Nyala, January 13(Darfur240 One of the factions affiliated with the Sudan Liberation Forces in South Darfur, has announced its split from the movement led by a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Al-Taher Hajar.

 

The Sudan Liberation Forces  Alliance  consists of several factions of the movements that took up arms against  Salvation regime  and united under the leadership of Taher Hajar, who became a member of the Sovereignty Council after the signing of the Juba Peace Agreement.

 

The military office of the Gereida sector said in a statement, seen by Darfur 24, that the sector announces its disengagement from the leadership of Al-Taher Hajar and joins the leadership of Jamal Adam, who also defected  from the assembly on the fourth of January.

 

The  Sector Commander Muhammad Issa explained to Darfur that they joined Commander Jamal Adam Abdel Rahman because of their confidence in his leadership in the next stage and his adherence to the spirit of revolution, justice and nationalism.

 

He said that they addressed the leadership of the movement earlier and sat with the head of the movement, Taher Hajar, and demanded reform, but did not  respond .
