Two people were killed after being shot by  group of armed militia, on camels and horses, near the village of Martial, 30 kilometers west of Tawila, North Darfur.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when six gunmen shot intensively at two camel herders, killing them on spot.

ative administration leader from Tawila, Mayor Mukhtar Bush told Darfur 24 that six armed men riding camels and horses came to the area on  Tuesday to a pasture near the village, and tried to loot a group
of camels that were grazing,  when they were confronted by camel owners, they opened heavy fire killing two men.

“After killing two men and looting some camels  they fled to unknown destination” Mayor Mukhtar Bush added
“A joint team from the army, the police, and residents went out to pursue the perpetrators, at a time when the bodies of the two dead people were transferred to Tawila hospital.” Mukhtar Bush concluded.
