Khartoum, May 28( Darfur24) Governor of Darfur region Minni Arko Minnawi Sunday urged the people of Darfur to get armed for self-defence and protection of properties.
Minnawi Twitted ” attacks on citizens have doubled and many have no desire for safety and rights of citizens, national institutions have been ransacked ، therefore ، I call on our honourable citizens، the people of Darfur, young and old, men and women, to get armed for to protect their properties”
Darfur cities have witnessed deadly clashes between the Sudanese army SAF and the Rapid Support Forces RSF since the eruption of fighting in Sudan, leaving hundreds dead, mainly in El-Geneina, West Darfur, according to the Sudanese doctors union..
Sudan’s acting defense minister, last week urged retired soldiers to get arms for self-defence.
There have been calls for citizens in various neighborhoods in Khartoum to carry arms for self-defence and protection of properties .
