Elfashir, September (Darfur24)Two people were killed and ten others were injured Saturday ,as the Sudanese army clashed with the Rapid Support Forces RSF in the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State.

Clashes were renewed between the army and the Rapid Support forces a day before scheduled opening date of service institutions announced by the state government tomorrow, Sunday.

A Darfur 24 correspondent heard sound of heavy gunfire in the vicinity of the Naivasha camp for displaced people, north of the city, as a result of clashes between the two warring parties.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the clashes led to the death of two civilians and the injury of more than 10 others.

The governor of the state, Nimr Muhammad Abdel-Rahman, confirmed to Darfur 24 that two civilians were killed, in addition to the injury of 7 others, which is a preliminary count so far.

The renewal of clashes between the army and the Rapid Support in the city of El Fasher came after a lull for several weeks, as the city witnessed in mid-August armed confrontations between the two parties, in which three brothers were killed and another was wounded in the Takamul neighborhood, north of the city.

Since the outbreak of the war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan in mid-April, community initiatives have been active in the city of El Fasher, which succeeded in mitigating the intensity of armed confrontations between the two sides of the war in the city, but there have been clashes from time to time. .
