North Darfur government is planning to confiscate all unregistered vehicles after expiration of the two-week time limit.
The authorities confirmed that after the end of the two-week period, any vehicle that does not have plate number will be confiscated.
The Governor of North Darfur state, Major General Malik Al-Tayeb Khojali, has issued a decree instructing security forces to prevent unregistered Libyan vehicles from entering the state, calling for their immediate confiscation.
However, the decree which was extended to Darfur24, is based on Article 9 of the constitutional document and directives of the supreme committee which stipulates collection of unlicensed weapons and impounding of unregistered vehicles .
It’s worth noting that the registration process of unregistered vehicles, started on Sunday, February 26 in El-fashir, North Darfur.
