The coordinator of displaced people  in North Darfur State, Has confirmed that attacks against defenceless civilians are still  continuing in Darfur region. He said three houses were torched and some property were looted in the area of  Tiranga on Tuesday.

In a statement extended to Darfur 24, coordinator, Adam Jimma described the torching of IDP houses, the looting of their property and the recent intercommunal violence in West Darfur as “a new wave of systematic displacement”.

“We are very concerned about attacks against unarmed civilians in the Darfur region, and the silence of government  officials and political parties” noted Adam Jimma.

The senior IDP community leader, held the transitional government responsible for the crimes being committed against the innocent and defenceless civilians in the region of Darfur.

The IDP coordinator, appealed to the International humanitarian organizations to provide services to  displaced persons, calling on the international community to fulfil its humanitarian obligations and  provide protection to civilians as well as bring criminals to trial and ensure that perpetrators are not granted impunity.

“Failure to extradite Omar Al-Bashir and the other wanted ones ,to the  ICC, has encouraged government militias to commit more crimes. We are calling  for the necessity of sending an international investigation committee, under the supervision of the  International criminal court to investigate crimes committed in Darfur” added Adam Jimma.

“We do not trust the justice and professionalism of the Sudanese judiciary. The declarations of government officials assured us beyond any doubt, that they do not wish to cooperate with the International criminal court ICC and  the international judiciary. We realized that they do not care about the fate of victims of Al-Bashir regime” Concluded Adam Jumma.
