February 5, 2020 (Khartoum) The head of National Umma Party, Imam Al-Sadiq al-Mahdi, said that the meeting that took place between the President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council and the Israeli Prime Minister does not achieve any national or Arab interest, and stressed that dealing with Israel is a red line.

Speaking at a press conference,  in city of El-Geneina, the capital of West Darfur, on Tuesday ,  Al-Mahdi said  that the Israeli prime minister was criminally pursued in his country, and he was taking a racist approach in the leadership of Israel.

He stated that any meeting with any such leadership does not achieve a national interest for Sudan, nor an Arab interest or a Palestinian interest.

“The problem of the Middle East cannot be dealt with it in such a way ,because it is so inflamed” noted Al-Mahdi.

“The Palestinian issue, unless it is    treated with justice, it will  be a source of extremism, and  the meeting with Netanyahu does not represent a national interest for Sudan” added the Umma party leader  .

“We do not know details of the meeting, but in principle,  dealing with the current Israeli Prime Minister, is a red line” concluded Al-Mahdi .
