February 8, 2020 (Khartoum) The Sudanese negotiating team left for Juba Friday   to resume talks with the armed struggle movements.

In a related development, two weeks ago, South Sudanese mediation team suspended negotiations between the Sudanese transitional government and the armed struggle forces in Darfur, South Kordofan, and the Blue Nile, until February 4, with the aim of further consultation.

The Sovereign council  said in a statement Friday that  members of the Council ,and the government negotiating team, Lieutenant-General Shamsuddin Kabashi, and Mohammed Hassan Al-Taishi, left for Juba, the capital of the State of South Sudan to continue negotiations with the armed struggle movements.

The statement pointed out that during the suspension of negotiations, the government delegation held consultations on issues that witnessed divergent views with the armed struggle movements in the previous rounds.
