February 27, 2020 (Khartoum) The Sudan Liberation Movement / Army of Minawi Arko Minawi , has called on the government to open an immediate and urgent investigation to uncover those involved in the murder of a student at Al-Jazeera University.
Student, Motaz, who was also a member of SLM- Minawi, was found dead in mysterious circumstances near the university eastern gate.
In a statement extended to Darfur 24, the movement’s Spokesperson Mohamed Hassan haroun condemned the systematic behavior of killing innocent and defenseless students.
“The ousted Al-Bashir regime used to practice the same behavior against innocent students at various Sudanese universities” said Mohamed Hassan Haroun.
“Continuation of such deeds is an affirmation that the remnants of the former regime, that was led by ousted President Omar al-Bashir, are still insisting on continuing their old approach ,to violate the rights of activists, especially students from the marginalized parts of Sudan” added Spokesperson of SLM-Minawi .
The Armed Struggle movement, has pledged to make every effort to assist the authorities in tracking down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
