March 13, 2020 (Juba) The Sudanese government and SPLM-N-Agar, signed Saturday a political document on issues of governance and powersharing in the two areas of Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile states.
The signing cermony was witnessed by the leadership council of the Revolutionary Front, South Sudan mediation team, the United Nations, and international observers of the peace process.
Member of the government delegation to the peace negotiations, Ismail Al-Taj, said in press statements that the signing of powersharing agreement in the two areas represented a fundamental step in the path of achieving peace in Sudan, pointing out that the parties should get prepared to face the challenges of implementing the agreement on the ground.
Deputy chairman of the armed struggle movement, Yasir Arman said that the Revolutionary Front had decided to end armed struggle and return to Khartoum to continue achieving national goals through political action and in clear partnership with the military and civilians components of the government.
“We have reached this agreement with full support of Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and Shamsuddin Kabashi, member of the Sovereign” Concluded Arman.
