A senior government delegation   from  the Sudanese capital Khartoum has arrived in Elfashir, North Darfur.
The delegation which arrived in Elfashir on Friday was led by minister of Cabinet Affairs, ambassador Omar Maynis.
However, the purpose  of the visit is to get first hand information, following recent death of 150  elder people in Elfashir from mysterious disease.
In a press statement following the meeting  with officials in the city of Elfasir, the head of the delegation, Omar Mayais, said that their visit comes under direct directions from the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, to find out about the general health conditions inside the city of El Fasher, after the outbreak of unknown disease that killed   scores  elder people.
Maynis  called on El-fashir citizens to take the necessary preventive measures  to protect  their lives from   Coronavirus.
For her part, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Sarah Abdel Azim, stressed the importance of active investigation and access to societies to find out the causes of deaths that hit the city
recently.
Over the past days,  El-Fasher city has witnessed  an increase in death of the elderly, in addition to a new illness among young  people that make them lose taste and smell.
